Marketing Adds Brokering to
Food Marketing Services
JOHNSON CITY, TN—Hamman
Marketing Associates, a food-marketing consultancy, has added brokering to its
service offering. Since its founding in 1999, the agency has focused on
marketing communications activities like advertising, public relations,
packaging and trade show promotion.
“Brokering is the next logical step to service clients,” says
agency founder and owner Al Hamman. “Taking this step was, unfortunately,
precipitated by the death of good friend and colleague Jerry Shupak. Jerry was a
key associate in driving the sales process, and it’s going to take a tremendous
effort to try to fill that void.”
Hamman brings significant experience as a territory sales manager
and corporate marketing director. Working not only in the food industry, his
experience includes market verticals like gift, housewares, hardware, travel,
chain drug stores, and ‘big box’ retailers.
In addition to a traditional sales and marketing background, Al is
also a graduate of The Player's Workshop of The Second City in Chicago, where he
studied stage improvisation and creative writing. Additional credits include
Children's Theatre of The Second City, Athenaeum Theater Company, Chicago
Gilbert & Sullivan Society, and numerous print, TV, and film appearances.
